  1. Osmo Polyx Oil provides an extremely hardwearing finish that is resistant to water and dirt whilst retaining the natural character of the wood. In comparison to conventional finishes, the natural vegetable oils and waxes allow for an even colouring and a harmonic, smooth surface result.

    Easy application – no need for a primer or sanding between coats – saves time and money. It meets the wood's natural demands: It is microporous and does not crack, flake, peel or blister.

    Osmo Polyx Oil available colours - CLEAR-is available in Matt and Satin, WHITE is available in Satin-Matt only. Popular colours include clear - matt 3062 and clear - satin 3032.

    Osmo Polyx Oil is resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water. When dry, the finish is safe for humans, animals and plants (suitable for children's toys as per. EN 71.3 (European norm) and fast to perspiration and saliva in accordance with.

    Recommended use - Ideal for all wooden floors, solid or plank wood, strip parquet, OSB or cork.

    If you prefer to collect products in store, please call us in advance to ensure stock is available at the store as some product ranges may be stocked at our separate warehouse facility. If this is the case and you arrive at the store without informing us, we may not be able to provide the product or there may be a wait.

  1. What is Osmo Polyx oil used for?

    Osmo Polyx oil is perfect for colouring and protecting indoor wood surfaces, such as wall panelling, wood flooring, wooden tables, chairs and any other indoor wooden furniture. It also allows the wood to keep its natural texture.

  2. How long does it take to recoat Osmo Polyx oil?

    Osmo Polyx oil should be left to dry for 8-10 hours with good ventilation. After this drying period, you can then apply a thin second coat.

  3. Can I use Osmo Polyx oil outside?

    Although some other Osmo oils are for use indoors and outdoors, Osmo Polyx oil is specifically for indoor furniture and surfaces. Although it is water and dirt resistant it isn’t suitable for outdoor use.
