Johnstone's Trade Wood Primer- is a solvent-based primer for softwood and non-oily hardwoods, suitable for interior and exterior use. Available in 1-litre, 2.5-litre and 5-litre packs, our Wood Primer can be applied with a brush to hardwood, planed timber and softwood, our Wood Primer is ideal for use with Johnstone's Trade Acrylic Durable Eggshell.  When working with new and bare timber, Johnstone's Trade Wood Primer is the ideal undercoat.

Coverage- Approximately 11-13 square metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface.

Application- Stir well. Easy to apply by brush or roller. Prime all joints, end grains and other surfaces liberally, brushing the paint well into the timber. On oily or resinous timber Johnstone’s Aluminium Wood Primer is more suitable.

Drying Time- Recoatable after 16–24 hours under normal drying conditions.

Please return your unwanted product to us within 30 days for a refund on the item.

However we are unable to accept returns of any paint where we have mixed the colour for you on our mixing machines. This is bespoke for the customer and we are unable to re-sell it.

Any products marked DD (Direct Delivery) come direct from the manufacturer and therefore may incur a re-stocking fee.
